Congratulations to captain Tom McClain who won his own trophy for the second time. After a misty start to a cool but pleasant winter’s day, Tom was never headed – 4 pars and no double bogeys on the first nine, then same again with 6 pars on the back nine – gross 78, net 67 and equal best nine of net 33. Stephen Thomas came a close second with gross 76, net 68 with 11 pars and a birdie but one double bogey. His best nine was also 33 on the back, winning that on count-back. David Hayes presented Tom with the trophy:
