Alan Smith played to his age (and bettered it) in the stroke round with a gross of 87. He also won the round with a net 67, with Rolfe Heldt and Garth Irvine coming 2nd/3rd on count-back with a net 70. Congratulations to Bruce Morrison who wins a bottle of white wine kindly donated by Richard Russell. Bruce scored a consistent 45 gross on each nine on a handicap of 19, net 71, 2 shots better than David Hayes and Tom Guthrie on net 73.

Tont Fisk won the bottle of wine from Stephen Thomas on a count-back. Tony’s gross was 75, net 69, and Stephen’s was 76, net 69. Congratulations to Tony with birdies on the 16th & 17th for a 1 under par 35 on the back 9, and also to Stephen with birdies on the 10th & 11th for a 37 on the back 9. Quite a contest!

A full field of 24 members played with Graham Guy claiming the monthly medal bottle of wine with the best score – gross 89, net 68. Putting was also tested – Bruce Morrison had the least number of putts, a creditable 27. Most putts and winner of the Fergus McDuff Trophy was David Connor with 40.
