The first day of the club championships was played on the Old Course in perfect sunny warm conditions. However, Monday’s round on the Tuart Course was back to winter – mild and sunny at first, then the rain came down on the second nine and it turned cold too. Results were:
Keith Minkey Trophy for the Club Open Champion – Stephen Thomas, Friday gross 83 on the Old, Monday a splendid 74 on the Tuart, total 157 for the two days.
Handicap champion – Alan Sherman, Friday gross 80 net 68, Monday gross 82 net 70, combined net 138. Alan Sherman had the second best gross of 162.
B-Grade champion – Graham Guy, Friday gross 91 net 71, Monday gross 94, net 75, total for 2 days 146.
