The competition for the President’s Trophy (stroke nett) was played on the Old Course on 28 March 2025 in unseasonably hot conditions. The best recorded score on the day was Rolfe Heldt who shot a gross 80 for a net one-under-par 71. However, Rolfe realised later on in the day that he had scored 5 instead of par on the 18th making his gross 81, and he advised the captain. After some debate because he would have won anyway if he had recorded the correct score on that hole, it was decided that he had to be disqualified for submitting an incorrect card under the rules of golf. Accordingly, the trophy was awarded to Tony Fisk who also shot a gross 81 for a net 73. Second place was Ray Parry with a gross 97, net 74 and third captain Tom McClain with gross 85, net 75. Afterwards, members enjoyed a BBQ at the secretary’s home – photos – Tony Fisk receiving his award from the president David Hayes, and members at the BBQ:
