Ray Dale Memorial Trophy (pairs) Sept 2025

The Ray Dale Memorial Trophy, a stableford pairs (best ball) event was played over two days, 19 September 2025 on the Old Course and 22 September 2025 on the Tuart. Congratulations to Tom McClain and Graham Guy whose great score of 45 points on Day 1 of the event carried them through to win by a point after Day 2’s play.  Second place went to Rolfe Heldt and Alan Smith with 43 points scored on Day 2 with Alan Smith scoring 6 pars on his 21 handicap and topping the day’s individual scores with 36 points. Play was slow on both days as recent wet weather interspersed with warm sunny days has let to good growth of vegetation in the rough, hiding golf balls and making shots from the rough unpredictable.  Players whose balls stayed on the fairways were rewarded whilst those who strayed were penalised.
