 Matchplay results:

Mike Spencer is the matchplay champion, defeating Graham Guy 6 and 5 in the final, played on the Old Course today.  The photo shows the two finalists (Mike on the left, Graham on the right, with club president Richard Russell) on the first tee of the Old Course at Wembley. Mike’s path to get to the final involved defeating David Connor, Alan Smith, Garth Irvine and Ian Webb.  Graham had a bye in round one so his path was shorter but involved beating David Hayes, Brian Hills and Gerry Gillett.  Congratulations to the finalists and particularly to our new champion, Mike Spencer.  See Ladder.

The Charity Day match vs Westside on 30 March has been cancelled due to their concerns over the COVID-19 virus.  We will advise about the fixture for that day having confirmed course and booking with Wembley Golf.  Next fixture: Friday 20 March –- Stableford on the Old Course, cards in at 6.40am, to be followed by the sausage sizzle chez Hayes.
