ANNUAL PAIRS CHAMPIONSHIP
The Ray Dale Perpetual Trophy (Pairs) Stableford Best Ball, is to be played over two consecutive playing dates in September.
Members who wish to participate in the trophy competition will need to be available for both playing dates. Nominations are called for and will close in the previous week.
Handicaps (as determined prior to the event) are unchanged over the two days of the event. Second day of play is teed off in reverse order of merit – best scores from day 1 teeing off last.
In the event of a tie with two teams having the same aggregate score over the two days, the winner is decided by count-back, taking the second day’s score as the winner, or, if those scores are also tied, the second nine on the second day, or, if those scores are also tied, then within that second nine on the normal basis.
To be eligible to win the Trophy players would need to be:
- Fully paid up members of the club.
- Must have played ten games with the club in the 12 months before the date of the competition ; OR
- At the Club Captain’s discretion on a case by case basis
For those members who are not participating in the trophy competition there will be a stableford competition.
The Draw
Cards to be divided into two even groups on a handicap basis – below or above the median.
