NOTICE TO MEMBERS ON SLOW PLAY
West Coast Golf Club rounds normally take 4 ¼ to 4 ½ hours to complete. Your committee believe this to be acceptable taking into account we play on a public golf course and we are “mature aged”. On occasion rounds have extended to close to 5 hours and that is not acceptable. It is annoying to following groups, inconvenient to members with following time commitments and has potential to give West Coast Golf Club an unwanted reputation for slow play. A series of recommendations to avoid slow play will be included in future results posts:

Committee recommendation: Keep up with the group in front.  If your group is not keeping up with the group in front, the first to putt out should move to the next tee and hit-off while partners putt out.
