Operations Manager and the man responsible for our bookings on the course, Jason Roach, collected a top honour at the 2022 WA Golf Industry Awards – he was awarded the prestigious Hilary Lawler WA PGA Club Professional of the Year award. Two other staff members, Andrew Thomas and Will Brennan, were also nominated for honours and the course was finalist in the Facility of the Year award. We should remember that the public clubs at Wembley have a privileged position in terms of scheduled booking times without the need to join a weekly telephone circus to get a tee-of time. It is part of Jason’s job to juggle the desires of clubs like ours for particular start times with the need for adequate public access to a Town of Cambridge facility and that cannot be an easy task. Congratulations Jason!
