Wet weather golf on 3 July 2023

Six of us braved the rain on 3 July and survived 19 holes of mainly wet weather. Wet and miserable, we saw sunshine briefly and got into the sheltered area before the worst of the weather arrived soon after 1pm. Today’s best score was Carl Colli with gross 89 and 32 points, including a birdie on the second hole (par 3). There were differences between the two groups in the approach adopted with flooded greens which may have cost David Lynn the honours (and $12) as he came second with 94 gross and 31 points. Steve Parkinson came third with 29 points and was followed home by John Campbell, Garth Irvine and Bruce Morrison.
