Congratulations to Gerry Gillett

An Extraordinary General Meeting of Members passed a resolution today to appoint Gerry Gillett a life member of West Coast Golf Club in recognition of his long a meritorious service to the club.  Gerry, who turns 99 on 24 February, has been a member since 1996.  He was also the club’s auditor for at least 15 years up to the 2020 AGM.  He was the club’s open champion in 2018, he won the club ‘B’ grade champion on three occasions, the Cecil McPhee trophy once, the Fred Sorenson on several occasions and of course he has donated the Gerry Gillett 4-Club trophy and won it himself once – a total of 13 mentions on the honour board. Congratulations Gerry!
