Course Tuart Course Competition Monthly medal stroke & putts
Conditions Sunny Players 18 members & 2 guests
Graham Guy was presented with a bottle of red wine donated by himself as the winner of the September monthly medal stroke competition. He scored 90 off the stick, net 70, with 5 pars, 8 bogeys and only 5 double-bogeys or worse. His fairway work was very accurate because he came close to winning the Fergus McDuff trophy for the worst putting in the competition, with 39 putts. However, he was saved having to keep the trophy until the next stroke & putts competition by Ray Parry who also chalked up 39 putts but did so on the back nine and hence collected the trophy on count-back. Best putts were shared by Tony Fisk and Tom McClain with 31 each. The photo will remind both Graham (left) and Ray (right) of the need to improve their putting whilst Captain Tom McClain (centre) could perhaps give them a few tips.
