The Gerry Gillett 4-club Trophy was played in very pleasant conditions on the Tuart Course. It was great to see Gerry again who came to present his trophy to the winner – Gerry started golf with few clubs and some years ago initiated the competition to play for his trophy with just three clubs and a putter allowed. With his centenary birthday approaching in February, it was very good to see him in good form. The winner was Alan Smith, who played to his age of 88, handicap 20, net 68, with 38 points. This is the second time in recent months that Alan has achieved that feat so many congratulations. In second place, Steve Edmondston scored 86, net 69 and 37 points with Steve Huckle third 92/70, 36 points.
