The Pairs championship was played over two days on a combined score basis. The first day’s play was on Friday 18 September on the Tuart Course with the second day played on Monday 21 September on the Old Course. Winners were Tom McClain and Barry Boyd.

In second place were Mike Kimbar and Rick Lazar with a score of 135 points. Tom and Barry had a comfortable lead of 9 points after the first day’s play with Tom scoring 38 and Barry 37. However, Monday’s play saw Mike and Rick close the gap with Mike scoring 37 points and Rick 29.
